Mike McCartney
Pastor
As of 2025, Pastor Mike McCartney has been serving in pastoral ministry for nearly 26 years. His Journey of faith and service began in Georgia, where he was involved in prison ministry. It was during this time - shortly after meeting his beloved wife, Tracey - that God called him into full-time ministry.
Following that call, Pastor Mike attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) in Wake Forest, North Carolina. There, he earned an Associate of Divinity degree and began work toward a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. After moving back to Georgia, he and his family were blessed to plant a church in Conyers, where he faithfully served as pastor for 11 years. During that time, he completed both his B.A. in Biblical Studies and a Master of Arts in Apologetics - a field focused on defending Biblical doctrine and theology.
God then led Pastor Mike to Chester Gap Baptist Church in Virginia, where he served for 8 years and completed his Master of Divinity with a concentration in Apologetics.
Since 2019, Pastor Mike has been honored to serve as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Belfry. Now in his sixth year at FBC Belfry, he continues to passionately preach the Word, defend the faith, and shepherd God's people with grace, truth, and love.
Pastor Mike is deeply thankful for his beautiful wife of 29 years, Tracey, their two wonderful daughters, and the joy of being "Pop Pop" to his grandchildren. He considers it one of his greatest blessings to serve the local church and see lives transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ

Associate Pastor/Youth Leader
Nick is a lifelong resident of Belfry, KY, having graduated from Belfry High School in 2009. He has served as the Associate Pastor since December 2023; His roles include Youth Minister, Discipleship Coordinator, and Sunday School Teacher. Nick Currently attends Luther Rice College and Seminary, pursuing a degree in religion and apologetics. Nick is passionate about teaching and preaching God's Word, specifically to the next generation of believers. Nick and his wife Ashley have 4 children.
